Welcome to Heather's Tribute Fund. Heather lost her battle with Motor Neurone Disease on 18th May 2006 aged 63 years. She showed the first symptoms in April 2005, but it was not until February 2006 that we were told that it was Motor Neurone Disease. It was Heather's express wish to be nursed at home, which she was until her peaceful end. Another one of her wishes was to donate her body to medical science, which we as a family have adhered to, so there was no funeral, she didn't want a gravestone or memorial either, however, Chris has placed a plaque on their garden chair. We had a party to Celebrate Heather's Life, unfortunately, as Heather had so many friends and aquaitances, this was limited to close family and friends which Heather, prior to her death listed. Please add your thoughts, memories and messages to the guest book. We have created this page to help raise money for Motor Neurone Disease Association in the hope that one day, they will find a cure for this cruel disease. Please consider making an online donation, if you would prefer, you can make a donation over the phone or by post, just click the 'donate to this fund' button at the top of the page & it will tell you what you need to do or if you prefer you can help us raise money for Heather's Fund by creating an online sponsorship page to mark a special event or occasion. All money raised on these pages will be earmarked as being donations made via this Tribute Fund when they reach Motor Neurone Disease Association. Simply choose one of the links above to see what you can do. If you like, you can also sign the guest book and tell other people about this service. Kind Regards, Chris Topley (Heather's partner); Derek Jones (Heather's son) & Sian Major (Heather's daughter)
