A member of staff who commanded much respect. A friend you could open your heart to. A nurse for those little in the field accidents. A mate you could have a beer a laugh and a sing song with. A commander in chief to rival Montgomery during field sorties. A dab hand with a catheter (poor Dan). By the end of three years, she had become a significant influence on my adult life and remained a good friend. I will miss getting her letters and hearing her laugh (though I still have the former and will always have the memory of the latter). You will be missed, but your joy and kindness means you will never be forgotten. “And in the end, it's not the years in your life that count. It's the life in your years.” (Abraham Lincoln).
